Rithm Black oak

omschrijving specificaties reviews

Davone merits the renowned Danish furniture craftsmanship with modern acoustic engineering. The result is Rithm, a unique concept which does away with the normal square box format and gives music back its natural form. Using specialised wood moulding technology which has been perfected in the Danish design furniture industry, Davone is able to make a fluid shaped cabinet with acoustic properties that surpass the normal square box format. The very first review captures it nicely: “Loudspeakers or furniture art? The very special loudspeakers from Davone were actually prototypes, but they created attention. With a co- axial loudspeaker unit they actually played really good” (Highfidelity, Nov 2006). With our love for music and our eye for detail, we designed Rithm for music and crafted it for perfection.

Danish Design
The minimalist eye of Danish architecture and furniture design has been an inspiration for the design of the Rithm. By uniquely marrying the acoustic technology with a minimalist design, the Rithm can hardly be recognized as a loudspeaker. A two tone contrast in a design is typically obtained by simply attaching a separate part, with a distinct colour, to an otherwise uniform design. In the Rithm however, the contrasting side panels are an integrated part of the design. The far more elaborate production process required, is rewarded with a beautifull integrated design. Normally in loudspeaker construction, only the very thin outermost layer is the wood-type of your choosing. For the Rithm, the first 6 layers are the same, to ensure a uniform appearance of the wooden rim arround the black side panels.
